Hi,
My brother went to one, it was a long time ago, and i don't remember the specifics, but it did help, he had people around who really understood and gave support and monitoring. Afterwards he stayed in a half way house...he was in his mid twenties, i think.
If you go, when you go, know we are thinking of you.

I am sick of how unstable my depression is. 2 months ago it was not so horrible! now it has been getting WORSE and worse! it's like maybe some type of seasonal depression is involved. each day is hell.

The only advice that seems to come up in my mind is a longer term program somewhere -- they exists, and the good ones are usually really good. Especially for younger folks like yourself. I'm not talking going in a hospital for a day or two, but more along the lines of a month long program. Some place that can work both with your meds, but also constantly work with your coping skills. You were dealt a bad break - but one that can be overcome with the right help. We can offer you all the support in the world, but I truly believe you need more than all our words. You need a physical place of stability and safety -- a long-term treatment facility could give you that.
