I just re-read the I'll-be-away message again, and what it seems to say is that you *may* receive the same outstanding level of support without Dr.B around. Maybe or maybe not, that's what it seems to say. And he doesn't really say who gives the support, so, since it may continue in his absence, he must be referring to somebody besides himself.
As I understand his philosophy in this experiment, the group is presumed to be more or less qualified to give support and to educate, while he tries to be an administrator.
It is difficult to administrate without a shadow of one's prejudices showing through, and I think we should all be free to ask for a factual basis when somebody seems to act out of prejudice. I still think the "*Best* of both worlds" claim was a stretch, and many raise intelligent questions about some of his administrative policies.
Still, his stated philosophy is, as he quotes somebody on the tips page, "We are not priests with hidden holy books and a bird language which other people cannot understand."
> Look at that message from Dr. Bob above, to be aware that during his being away we won't receive the usual "outstanding level of support." I've just about had it with the holier than thou attitude of "professionals." You won't be getting my usual "outstanding" job. I thought he was different. They're all pompous.
