Sorry about that. I didn't mean to make it so inaccessible. Then again, given the elaborate vocabulary of it, maybe I did. I was wondering whether anyone thought depression gave them a, lets say, "exotic," intellect or sense of humor, or whether major depressives are just as diverse as anyone else with a medical problem (it would seem pointless, after all, to ask whether cancer patients had any intellectual quirks as a whole). I only raise this issue because the people I know who have depression seem so smart, but smart in their own sort of way. Maybe I don't know enough of them to tell, though. Any thoughts?... well, back to my Virginia Woolf book (incidently, a very insightful, clever depressive)-- which brings up another issue (for readers of Woolf)... could she have been that insightful if she were not mentally ill? Was it her insight that made her so prone to despair? I don't know what to think about that. I think much too much. goodnight.
