Happy Birthday- I have difficulty with them too, so I completely understand your reaction. I tend to be 'exquisitely sensitive' (as my pdoc calls it) to external stimuli, I wonder if your rx to temp change fits under that heading. Anyway, I certainly hope you are beginning to feel better and was glad to see you post.
I don't think I experience olfactory hallucinations, I have the auditory a lot and have had tactile ones. Have you had a neurological work-up? My pdoc keeps pushing me, I have had seizures in the past and have had a normal EEG and MRI but apparently there's lots of other things you can be subjected to. I guess I would just as soon skip that right now.
My flashbacks tend to be quite visual which is upsetting. My therp gave me more homework to do- write down what I was thinking before I dissociate and cut. I told her I can't do that, so she said to put down my emotions- fear, sadness, etc. Haven't done it yet, I feel like I'm circling a snake.
Take care, judy
