I am very happy to hear that you went ahead to the hospital, and you are feeling better now. You are right, if you killed yourself it would be a lot more of a crisis than a hospital visit--plus your kids wouldn't have a mom, and would yearn for you a long time. You would be sorely missed elsewhere also (here).
