Coral,
Austin city limits population is about 600,000 and including all surrounding areas (the "metro" area) up to one million. It's the 27th largest city in the US.Where I live, anything with an Austin address would be more convenient than any of the surrounding cities I named. But, if the best candidate is in one of the surrounding cities, I'll go to any of them!
Does that help at all? Austin is smaller than Dallas-Ft. Worth, San Antonio, Houston, etc. Not like a sprawling huge city with suburbs that are like little cities in themselves.
Oh, I did identify a perio guy named Broline as a possibility because his listing said he used all sorts of sedation.
Again, Many thanks to you, and I'm sure you get karma credits for just taking the time to be so thoughtful!

I think they thought of Austin as this huge megaopolis and wondered about suburbs... that sort of thing, but who knows? The two dentists are superb technically as well as humanely. I've used both, and in fact, only switched because one didn't take our new dental plan and was lucky enough to find the second Angel-Dentist. I would trust any referral from them. To them, competence means superior dental skills in the hands of a compassionate person. And, we're adding a peridontist to the list!
