Feeling guilty

Posted by DannaB on May 10, 2007, at 22:03:21

I'm dating someone new. He is very affectionate and treats me nicely. But I feel guilty because I am not sure I see it working out long-term. He's kind and nice and sweet but I just don't feel that we have a lot to talk about. I want to feel really stimulated intellectually in a relationship. I want to talk about news, politics, the future, etc...

It's not hard to want to break it off when there's something you really dislike about the person, but it is hard when you like them and think that they are nice but just don't feel that extra something you are looking for...I certainly don't want to hurt his feelings.

Then again, is it at all possible that I find him less interesting because he doesn't pose much of a challenge and shows that he's really "into" me? I don't think this is it, but I am trying to consider the possibility.
