Danna,
I understand what you mean. My family is Cuban and Cuban mothers are the WORST. I had to move ACROSS COUNTRY to get away from mine! And trust me, it was well worth it!!!! :)

She used to call me on a daily basis and now I have the control and only contact her once or twice a month! It's WONDERFUL!

I get very irritated with my mother as well and sometimes, you just have to do what you can to NOT speak to family members that do that to you. Maybe moving isn't an option for you, but limit your contact if possible. Even if you have to tell her flat out that you need your space - take back control and let her know. You DON'T need to be the "perfect" daughter - this is YOUR health and well-being we're talking about. If you're getting bent out of shape then that's a problem. Take care of YOU first - plus, that will keep you from possibly getting upset AT her because you've gotten irritable, know what I mean?

Sorry, I like to write "books"! :)

Hope that helps!

Lisa
