i wouldn't be too sure of that. when the meth is being "cooked", the ether odor wafts off....i've been close to people who had just smoked meth and didn't smell an "ether" smell. it is extremely noxious and really hard to disguise.....an example would be that if someone came into ER who's lab had exploded.......he would smell to high heaven of ether, etc......i'm not too sure that the ether smell would be in the meth while it's smoked.....just my memories of the days of ER and counseling.......:-)
