Hello-
This is my first post, as a Newbie. I have so much going on right now. I would like to ask the members of Babble--
Has anyone ever written a letter to their family members--trying to explain their mental illness--and why they probably don't Relate to Others--as a 'normal', mentally healthy, person would.
I am so tired of apologizing for being 'different', for 'Explaining' WHY I do--or don't do-what other family members want--or need--me to.
I saw a letter on the Web one day--that addressed this very problem, and now I can't remember where I saw it.
Maybe my family does "Get It" and they are just pretending they don't---OR--maybe I DO owe them a more clear and precise EXPLANation.
I'm very confused at this point, that's for sure.
It's one thing for 'society' to not understand, but to have your own family not understand is MUCH, MUCH worse.
Thank-you-
Sincerely-
Rintention
