Hey Saturn,
My wife and I are both 36. We have been married 5 yrs. We have both been married before (5 years each.) Hmmmmm, 5 yrs? I see a pattern here.
She had two boys from her previous marriage. I had none. Well as "luck" would have it, we got pregnant and I felt confident enough in our relationship to tie the knot.
I'm offering more information than you were asking...sorry
Of course my life was in for some major changes. From single, free-spirited, chase girls, drink beer, eat thick steaks every night, party late, sleep in. Now I would have to learn some responsibility and relationship skills again.
I wasn't very good at that the first wife around. That is most likely why she divorced me. She just "wasn't in love" with her hub and left. I nearly got divorced the second time too, when my wife realized all the co-dependence and addiction was more of a problem than she bargained for.
Se stuck it out just long enough for me to start straightening up. Maybe she does like me? Things are going a lot better now, but I still have a lot of trust to earn back.
Now I just need to get my BP mood disorder under control. It seemed to surface when I finally quit medicating with stimulants. Already taked your ear off enough, so I guess I'll leave off there. Thanks for asking about us though.

PS Step-parenting is a whole different challenge in itself! Ugh!
