I’ve never heard of this before, but it sounds as if it could be caused by pressure differences in your inner ear during orgasm.

Did it happen while you were still married? Or has it emerged since your divorce? (I’m being a bit delicate here, which carries a risk of being misunderstood: what I really mean is: does it only happen during solo sex? You don’t have to answer! But I wondered whether you’re experiencing more intense orgasms; that might contribute to the symptoms.)

> My gurlfriends all joke and tease me about just goin out and gettin some guy, but I am the romantic type; that just leaves me cold (at least for now, LOL).

Well, finding some random guy might not lead to orgasms… it can depend on the man! And some people need to feel connected or loved in order to find sexual satisfaction.

Ha ha ha!

I don’t know whether age has anything to do with the hearing loss thing. It’s possible. Even if you look young for your age, your body is still 59, so if age could be a factor in this it’s worth looking into.

Anyway, I reckon that it might be worth asking your GP (although I can understand you might feel a bit embarrassed), just to be on the safe side. It’s probably nothing dangerous but it might be worth investigating…

As for the frustration… I’m sure it’s hard to handle. If you like erotic stories it might help a bit… I think many women find porn too male-oriented (or ideologically offensive) and movie erotica is often disappointing… But a few good stories and a couple of good fantasies will go a long way. You obviously like to write; have you thought about writing your own erotic fiction?
