THanks, Jazzed & Susan.
This sounds similar to my thing. My babygirl (who is almost 2) and I met a lady and girl on a walk around the neighborhood. The lady presented the family as a traditional family unit. We befriended the lady and little girl, and soon learned that the man & lady are not married and that the man is not the father. Now I am not such a prude that I have a big hang up about cohabitation. We have had the "family" here for dinner, but the fact is that I don't know the lady's & little girl's real last names. I have left my daughter with the lady and little girl for short periods (because I didn't really have anyone else), when I knew the man wouldn't be there. Now his work schedule has changed and I don't know when he might be home so I haven't left my girl with them for quite some time. The lady has left her girl with us several times, too, and there is something I don't like. When the girl is here without the mom an attitude appears that I don't like... Another thing I can't put my finger on.

It isn't entirely about not trusting the man... Maybe it is that I don't like being misled. Or it could be that I don't want a bad attitude to rub off on my girl. Like I said before, I may never know if I am right or wrong about this, but I'm not taking any more chances.

Have a great night...
