Hello... my name is Valerie. I started a relationship a few months ago with a guy who is obsessive compulsive. He does not really have any compulsions except for picking his nails and skin on his face every once in a while, but he has many obsessions. He is on 50mg of Paxil which controls it. His form of OCD is called the "Pure O" meaning that his mind is just full of obsessive thoughts. In his past it has been so bad that he was thinking suicide. I have also noticed that he has become inscure in a lot of things... Lied to me about what kind of job he had thinking that if he didn't make a lot of $ I would leave him. I am 26.. he is 28. I also notice a few mood swings and the way he thinks about things especially relationships is not really how most guys I have dated think about him. He has also never been in love before. Funny thing is... He is great... treats me great... very cuddly and affectionate... and I want to have something with him but i don't know if I can deal with the OCD. Does anyone on this panel know anything about OCD and what happens with it...The repeatitive thinking??? And the insecurities because it's hard for me to understand.
Thank you! :)
