Gabapentin for Anxiety

Posted by KayBee01 on January 5, 2017, at 9:16:55

I have posted several months ago about Gabapentin. My pdoc wanted me to try it as a mood stabilizer. Now he has "rephrased" it and is a bit insistent about my trying it for the physical effects of anxiety. He said it will calm me and help my body relax. My anxiety is high and the tenseness and body and muscle aches from feeling so stiff are difficult to cope with. I sometimes feel that if someone touches me I will crumble into a million pieces. Anyway, if anyone else is taking Gabapentin I'd appreciate opinions and suggestions.
He wants me to start at 100mg 3x day for 2 days and then go up to 400mg 3x day.

Thanks
