I have met several people in my life that will lie and after they are caught lying continue to validate their lie, possibly even believing it. I can think of at least 3 family members. Is this a new trend? I can't deal with people like this. Everyone lies. But these people actually seem to believe their lie. How can I ever trust anyone? I'm losing faith in humanity. Or maybe they are telling the truth and I'm hallucinating? :-(

I know it seems trite, but perhaps you need to surround yourself with different people. I would say that, for now, you don't be too quick in condemning all of humanity.
