The first thing I studied at uni was education / english literature / history. I was going to be a secondary school English teacher... You needed 2 junior and 2 senior subjects so I needed to pick up history to have history senior and social studies junior. I didn't like history. I loved aspects of English Literature. But then I realised that most of my students wouldn't love it and I might get students like how I was in math... When I discovered that I loved philosophy and didn't like history at uni I dropped education / history and decided to take my chances with what I loved.
Then I got sick... And sort of progressed through my obsession with theatre of the absurd etc... And developed a passion for cognitive / abnormal psychology / philosophy of mind... Which has developed and extended to the body more, these days.
