That's exactly what I've done. I've double declutched and moved into second gear.

I decided that the west coast is just too far (I hadn't realised it's almost the same distance as between Cape Town and Cairo). So I'm not going. I'll spend a night in Chicago and a couple in New York and then home, and that will be the end of my trip. It will be quite exhausting enough.
