You have two options:
You can take it. (Like a little bitch, as the saying goes)
You can use it as fuel for the fire and fight back. Or die trying.
I use it as fuel for the gym. I use it as motivation.
When you really feel that you can't do anymore and you want to quit... Either you curl up and quit or you stand the f*ck up and fight back. You go as hard as you f*ck*ng can for 20 seconds and you don't f*ck*ng stop. Or you do just one more rep. And (depending). Then just one more. And then another.
And you find you are stronger than you thought you were (and their words don't bother you anymore)
And you become stronger than you were (and their words don't bother you anymore)And you feel proud of yourself instead of hating on life, suspecting / fearing / despairing that they might be right.
