Yes,its important to help them feel that you are ok,and excited about their new independence.My son knew I was pretty down when he left.So he did keep in the touch the first couple of weeks.Maybe he missed me a little bit too.But this is another part of aging,alas.


When you're down, you come up again. So, it's a roller coaster ride of sunshine and shadows,and that's the way I guess it's gonna be...Arthur Motyer
