Yikes.. this doesnt sound normal to me at all. I think you're very right to be concerned and feeling uncomfortable here. You're absolutely not being overly sensitive. His behavior sounds unprofessional and completely inappropriate.

As an aside, I work in an inpatient mental health crisis program (not a hospital) where we offer accupuncture to our clients several days a week. There are two accupuncturists who come to us and I know both of them well. Both are very appropriate and recognize the importance of boundaries, especially when you are doing physical work with someone that involves any kind of touch.

I'm so sorry you're going through this.
