I'm on a work trip to the area T moved to, so I got to have dinner with her tonight. It was wonderful. We talked a lot about theology/heaven/ the afterlife, all of which I am obsessed with since my father's death. Not in a therapy way, but in a very personal way. She told me how she thinks of it (her husband died 15 months before she retired) and I think it's going to be very helpful to me.
We were together for 3 hours. She looks exactly the same as the last time I saw her, 13 months ago, and we picked right up where we left off. When she dropped me off at my hotel, she parked the car and said, "I'm going to get out so I can hug you." She hugged me, I teared up and told her I missed her. She said, "I know." Then she said, "Oh, I should have said I miss you too." I told her she keeps blowing that, but we both laughed and it really was okay. She hugged me again and said, "I love you, Dear."
She is the best. T3 is pretty good, I think, but T1 is the best. I'm sad to say goodbye to her again, but I am so glad I got to see her and talk to her and hug her again.
