It's a bit like an elementary grammar exercise.

Today I feel awful, yesterday I felt awful, tomorrow I will feel awful.

They say you can't change the world but you can change the way you feel. I've forgotten the method, but would be the wrong person to retail it, and anyway I'm sure you can fill in the gaps as well as I could.

As you are aware, the world is some kind of veil of illusion or whatnot, the essence of which is suffering, notwithstanding the cultural conspiracy with which you are familiar. This is reformed Hinduism and where I am staying, more or less....the eyes of Buddha, penetrating certainly, under a brow that ripples in the wind

This is where they burn the bodies on the ghats, stone steps that go down to the river's edge, hardly a river, more a foetid outrage, but holy nontheless.

which seems unwise, but the water looks good enough (Winicott) When they burn the bodies (at which point I give thanks for the lack here of a Woolworths (Walmart?) culture funeral industry) the eldest son lights the flame in the mouth of the deceased, and the feet stick out the other end of the straw.

No a bad place to retire.

My advice to you would be to resist the desire to feel less cranky than you do.

All the best, Sid.
