My thought on these occasions is always the same. I think about the prize being a man with no self control and little respect for the ethical guidelines of his profession and the duty he owes his clients. A man who wants a relationship with a woman where he is in a position of power. A man not at all unlikely to do this the next time he feels an "overwhelming" attraction to a woman.
And I wonder if the prize is worth winning.
On the other hand, winning can be satisfying even if the prize doesn't have much intrinsic value.
The question being, which party won? Did the therapist wish to seduce a client and the client only think there was a triumph involved? Or was the therapist really overcome by feelings that could only be engendered by this particular client?
I am, at heart, a cynic.
And others may have different feelings about relationships of course.
