Can someone please text me or something?

I am getting scared about the trip. Can someone please check up on me periodically via text message while I'm on my trip?

I have never been alone while traveling for so many days and I am worried.

I think I will be OK, but it would make me feel better if I had someone to contact just in case things go badly.
