Ouch! I'm sorry your old man won't appreciate and give back the love you all so deserve.
My mom has been accusing us kids of similar(theft), as long as I can remember. and- If we help her- or show we care, that is when she is the meanest. So, showing people I care can be very triggering- though, I push myself to do so(as I still believe that its' supposed to be a good thing)-- but with much anxiety that said people will be mean and hate me.
It's amazing how no matter our age, we may still feel such soul stabbing pain from our parents....... like- I'm still ever striving to be "accepted" as her daughter, hoping she will someday accept me as well as she accepts strangers. The therapist I see is trying to help me find peace in other realms.
I will hope for inner strength for you and your sister. You're in my wishes.
