I'm a long term survivor of therapy myself.
I don't think the feelings ever go away, but they certainly change over time when you talk about them and begin to process them.
I think these feelings are completely natural. I mean, if someone is being kind and attentive to you, and this may be the first time you've really allowed yourself to feel attended to, then all kinds of feelings are going to develop!
If your therapist won't talk about it and help you to put these feelings into some kind of perspective, then IMO, it is damaging to the therapy.
Sometime we have to take the lead, bring it into the room, and diffuse it in our lives.
