Glad to see you posting, b2c! I was also going to say that insurers like BC/BS would probably consider it if it were prescribed (I somewhat doubt they would otherwise, i.e. if you just went out and bought one on your own and then asked for reimbursement). Also if they turn down your request, even with your prescription, you can appeal. You and your pdoc can write letters about how it is necessary for your treatment plan. The BC/BS people can tell you what to do to file an appeal. I've actually found them to pretty helpful about that.Hopefully you'll not have a problem. Then you can buy whatever your T thinks will work best for you. Let me know how it works for you - I've thought for a long-time about getting one.
