A while ago, I posted about how I was having boundary issues with my therapist and I had crossed many of them. It was suggested by someone that I ask him to make a recording/message for me to listen to so that when I feel like I want to talk to him..rather than email or call him...I can just listen to the message.
I thought this was a great idea and I presented it to him once and he didnt say anything..so I let it go...then a week or so later I asked him again about it and he didnt say anything. Today, I emailed him and asked him what he was thinking about it and that it would really help me..and he still continues to ignore.
I am thinking that he feels like if he were to do that, that it would be me being to dependent on his voice...I dont know...
In the past when he has left town he has left me a message to listen to while he is gone..so this wouldnt be ANY DIFFERENT...but oh well.
(I am doing better on the boundary issue...I havent driven by his house, I havent called him on his cell phone...and I reduced my emails to 2 a day...except for yesterday..I was having a rough day and I emailed him 4 times...BUT STILL..that is so much of an improvement for me.
I just hope he notices.
He hasnt terminated me though so that is a major plus.
