'knock it off' injury triggers

Posted by llurpsienoodle on May 12, 2008, at 20:33:56

So, I've been having the problem lately of eating my cuticles to shreds. I raised this issue at the end of last session (friday) and T said I quote

"Well, knock it off!"

I protested. I said- I HATE when you say that, you make it sound so easy, when it's hard. He looked somewhat stunned. backpedalling. "Well, I never meant for it to sound easy, I just suggested that you knock it off"

I confessed how my shredded cuticles were a blight upon my hands, and the deep shame that I have of gesturing in public.

Once again he said (a little more gently?) "Well, llurpsie, you just have to knock it off"

DUDE. I want to knock YOU off. lol. kind of joking.

Dammit, he was right. Now all my boo boos are in the final stages of healing and there has only been one half-hearted attack on the cuticles in the last 72 hours. I HATE it when he's right! HATE it :)
