is just full of idiomatic expressions and words whose meaning can be quite personal, contextual and not captured well in translation. It just seems that meaning is either simultaneously universal and/or private.
For example a few idioms:
Beating a dead horse.
Making a mountain out of a molehill
Splitting hairs
Not seeing the forest for the trees.Are all wonderful examples I think. If taken literally, they usually make no sense.
I think what we discovered here is a dinah idiom.
