It is so helpful when you can actually put things in the box. I love your description of your box. Mine is much more utilitarian - maybe it is time for me to upgrade?
I remember one time I was trying to put my husband (6'3") in the box, but his arms and legs kept flopping out. As soon as I would get one arm tucked in, a leg would flop out.
It is amazing how accurate our metaphors are for how we see thing.
There is a great book on metaphors and how they can be used in therapy: "Metaphor therapy: Using client-generated metaphors in psychotherapy"
