It doesn't work if I feel too overwhelmed, but one thing I do is to get my Pilates stuff and do a *slow* workout to The Art of Fugue.
I can find it very relaxing, almost heavenly.
(I never sleep well.)

Having a back condition gives me reason to do it too.
