I dropped some of my classes, good I think

Posted by Happyflower 1 :-) on August 26, 2007, at 7:45:49

I just can't do it, school starts this week, and it is just too much, and I have to be a mother too. I can't drop being a mother, so I dropped some classes. Only 7 credit hours now, one major class and 4 very minor ones that should be easy.
I think I need to do this for myself, this therapy is different, it takes so much out of me. I just think I will have trouble studying and remembering stuff when I have so much on my mind.
I think this is a good thing, my advisor will just have to understand. I need to concentrate on me, I need to give me space to heal.

I found this picture after cleaning up my office a couple of weeks ago by Mary Engelbreit, with a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson. It says...

Be not a slave of your own past-Plunge into the subline seas, dive deep, and swim far, so you shall come back with self respect, with new power, with an advanced experience, that shall explain and overlook the old.

I like it, I have it hanging by my computer, it has a picture of a women on a diving board, ready to dive into the water, with her eyes closed, but confident.
