There is an alternative that I used and it worked well. I couldn't tolerate the synthetic hormones so I used a compounding pharmacy with a prescription from my OB-GYN for the two good natural estrogens and progesterone. It comes in a small syringe without a needle and you apply a cream twice a day or once a day to certain prescribed body parts no side effects at all and safe as the bad estrogen is not in the prescription. Also if you need testosterone they can add it . It was great. Insurance didn't pay for it but no hot flashes or problems. It just stopped. Love Phillipa
