I think this is pretty common - to have mixed feelings about compliments. I guess, for me, I'm always hoping no one noticed when I wasn't doing well, so they won't now know I'm doing better. I think we also use these kinds of statements as validation of the positive things right now - because even if you were doing worse, no one would probably say that to you.
It is hard not to worry about now having to stay strong, or in a good place or whatever. But the reality is that moods and feelings change - for everyone and everyone expects that. Hopefully it won't be a prolonged negative shift.
