Anniversary -- need help with gift for T

Posted by TherapyGirl on March 10, 2007, at 17:52:44

My 22nd anniversary with my T is this month. I've been thinking for a couple of months that I want to do something special. So far all I've managed to come up with is to write her a long note about the difference she's made in my life. About how when I met her, I had never had a safety net, much less been able to create one myself. How, in those early years, she made a safety net for me and held it up all by herself; in the middle years, she taught me how to make one myself; and ever since, she's held up the frayed parts when I couldn't do it on my own and helped me repair it over and over.

I've had trouble thinking of a gift to represent that, though. I bought a net for catching bugs at Target today, but it's not very pretty and it feels sort of hokey. So do any of you have any ideas?

Thanks, fellow Babblers!
