.... but I drew a floorplan for my T of the house I lived in when I was little. He seemed to really like it - he said it helped because then he could see more where I was talking about. He even asked if he could keep it, which I was fine with. Has anyone else ever done anything like that? What did your T think? I guess I'm worried he secretly thinks I'm weird, although I doubt it. Also, do you remember really well where things are in your childhood homes? He was surprised at the detail I put in it, since I remembered where all the clocks were, and the microwave, and lamps and everything. He said maybe it's because I'm still so young so I remember better - I'm only 20 but haven't lived in that house for 7 years now.
Also, I'm thinking of joining a support group that is to learn DBT skills and distress tolerance. My T suggested it because he thinks some of the skills might be helpful for me. I know a lot of times DBT is used to treat borderline personality disorder -- do you think the fact that he recommended that group means he thinks I have it, or are the skills really widely applicable? I guess I just don't really know what to expect. He also thought that starting with this group might get me more used to a group and not be as overwhelming for me as just starting with the trauma group I was thinking about. I've read what the criteria are for BPD and I'm almost positive I don't fit them, I just worry about lots of things.
Sorry to ramble on... just thinking about a lot of things.
