Umm, fellow campers be advised,
My cat is a "slut". She likes to crawl under the blankets and snuggle with unfamiliar people. If we have houseguests over, she always prefers them to us.

It's very cute, to have a 13 pound smooshy purring warm blob at your feet, but don't be alarmed.

Her modus operandi is as follows:

As soon as she senses that humans are half-asleep, she creeps up in the vicinity of their pillows. Then she purrs really loud, right in your face and you have to lift up the edge of the blanket for her to crawl underneath.

One time we were travelling with her, and we dropped her in the hotel room, where the beds were made so tightly that they surpassed shipshape. Came back from dinner, and cat failed to greet us at the door. Lo and behold, a single purring lump, right in the middle of one of the beds, with no visible traces of how she managed to get under the covers.

For our trip to Camp Comfort, she will pass through pet screening that takes away all allergens and shedding hair for the duration of our stay. Miow!

-ll and cat.
