You're doing great, sunnydays.
Maybe next time, you could ask to take a few photos of your T before he goes. I did that with my T, because I couldn't remember him at all over vacations--esp, the first few years. It was as if he didn't exist--not quite, but in some ways almost worse than that, too.
The photos helped. I still have them, and like to look at them once in a while. His vacation is coming up soon (August)-- I'm not quite sure how bad it's going to be-- but July 4th is when usually I start to feel it.
