phone check-in trust

I called my T, he didn't call back the first day and I totally was freaking out, thinking he was mad at me, didn't care. I got a hold of him yesterday and things are fine, just as they always were. I can't wait to see him next week, but I am disapointed in myself
Why can't I just trust him?
