Besides the phone book, ask people you feel comfortable enough for referrals.

If you are not comfortable, look on-line at Psychology Today's web site-You'll be happy nmber of therapists they list, with full profiles and lots of questions answered about their individual practice --- costs, their speciality, their theraputic orientation, their philosophy, etc. etc. I didn't find my T that way, but she is on that site and everything she said about herself is true.

(I went to insert a sentence above and my keyboard started eating my words, deleting what I already wrote. I forgot how to undo that, sorry)

Anyway, what I wanted to insert, just google, Psychology Today and look for the header, "Find a therapist in your area".
