I've sent him 2 things and he hasn't replied to them, either. I assume he's very busy at the convention and he's out of his normal environment & routine. And maybe he won't ever reply to me: I've gotten his replies about 20% of the time, I think!

Plus, didn't you say in your essay that Bob has a strategy of often not-responding to certain things? Maybe he is allowing you space to work through these uncomfortable feelings on your own. Maybe he thinks you might learn more helpful skills right now if he doesn't jump in. I don't know for sure. I think you said that, in retrospect, you think it was sometimes better that he didn't always reply to you, even though it was sometimes painful.

I think I've had the sort of feelings you're having now. It can really be rough. But I admire your honesty about them. I think that's better than my old strategy, which was to just put a lid on and suffer. I'm glad you can share them at Babble.
