Re: Blogging About Therapy?

I blog but not about therapy. I wouldn't want my therapist to read it because it would just seem weird like we were having a relationship outside of therapy.

But if it were a private blog for therapy purposes and she had access to it, I guess it would be sort of like online therapy or taking a journal into session.

There is so much self disclosure online about therapy and mental health issues I'm actually surprised that there isn't a reality show on cable tv by now with people in therapy. Everything else is on there. It would have all the elements of great drama.

Babble seems more private than a blog. I have to remind myself that it isn't. I try not to disclose information I don't want to make public to the world not just to Babblers. I have learned a lot here too from the disclosures of others about therapy. I take that vocabulary and expectations into my real life therapy.
