I agree that this is a good question to ask. I also wonder whether you can ask him about the possibility of seeing him again in the future if you need to. I expect it will be possible.

Termination is a sad time (I've been there before) but I think it helps if you can talk to your therapist about it quite a bit and tell him how you're feeling about it.
