CBT can be a great treatment approach towards mitigating the psychosocial stresses that might have contributed to the precipitation of your affective and anxiety disorders in the first place.
CBT ADs are better than either one alone. I think you might be better off using the combination until you have dealt with enough psychosocial issues through CBT such that there is no longer so much "depressive pressure" being placed on the biological system. Besides, you will be much more able to process the psychotherapy if the depression and anxiety are absent or greatly mitigated.
Relapses after drug discontinuation sometimes don't occur until 4 months have elapsed. Usually, if the system remains stable and in remission for longer than 4 months, there is a great likelihood that no further medication will be necessary for that episode.
