I'm glad she is far away from you, happy. I'm glad she is far far away.
My mother was an untreated bipolar when I was a kid. A lot of people think that bipolars are just happy when they are manic but nothing is further from the truth. They are aggresive, mean and violent and that's how she was when she was manic. I won't even talk about her depressions when she would sit on my bed with a gun to her head. Couple that with a violent, explosive father and in reality I think I am lucky I'm alive.
That's how I grew up.While no one can ever say "I know EXACTLY how you feel" I do empathize with you and I'm glad you feel a measure of peace.
It's a long long road to get there, that I do know.
As I've said before, thank you for sharing your experiences, they do help others (me!) a lot.
