I think so, as long as you have a good therapist and the negative feelings don’t erupt into actual violence.
I think the principle is probably the same as with other kinds of transference: the aim is to work through it and discover where it comes from. If your therapist can accept it without taking it personally it’s probably possible to deal with it quite effectively.
I think most people experience some negative transference at times. And apparently other feelings (like erotic transference) can sometimes mask feelings of anger. For example, if someone’s afraid to feel angry, they might cover the feelings of anger with something that feels more acceptable, like feelings of love. Or something like that.
