Sounds like a good plan.
I'm sorry that work today didn't happen. It sounds like your boss was more concerned about you not calling than being absent.
And I hope this comes out right, but try to keep in mind that what we worry about often isn't on the top of the list of others. I guess I mean that even if it seems really bad, and that she might be really mad, she's likely got other stuff on her mind, too.
