Good for you for going. And I think your reactions are genuine and honest. Sounds like he was too. For a first appt. it sounds like it went okay. I say give it a solid chance, say about six sessions, and then assess from there.

Unless he does something horrible like pick his nose, fall asleep or answer calls during your time. Or calls you Edna.
